Created on 5 January 2021, this community brings together people who share a deep appreciation for ships, boating culture, and the waterways that connect the East Coast to the Great Lakes. It offers a space for enthusiasts to swap stories, showcase their sightings, and celebrate everything from tugs and freighters to sailboats and Seaway traffic.
The group’s mission is to foster a welcoming atmosphere where members can learn from one another and enjoy the history, daily activity, and human stories tied to maritime life. Recent posts reflect a blend of thoughtful remembrance, firsthand experiences, and admiration for the vessels and crews that keep these waters moving, giving the community an engaging and respectful tone.
The group is managed by Amy Daggett, Dave Yager, Janey Anderson, and Helen Cooper, who help maintain a friendly and supportive environment for all ship lovers.
